Leadership Profile: Tracey O’Connell, RN serves as the Director of Nursing for Loris Rehab & Nursing Center.  Tracey earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Wheeling Jesuit University in 1998. She was inducted into the Omicron Mu Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Society.

In 1998, she began her nursing career as in Med/Surg at Wheeling Hospital (Wheeling, WV). In 2000, she worked in Telemetry for Trinity West (Steubenville, OH). In 2003, Tracey began working for ResCare (a group home for the developmentally disabled) as a RN Supervisor. In 2004 she was promoted to DON at ResCare and served in that role for 8 years. She worked as a Triage Nurse for the VA Clinic, from 2013 until 2015, when her family relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC.

In November of 2015, Tracey began her career with Wilson Senior Care as a Unit Manager for Loris Rehab & Nursing Center. In March of 2018 she was promoted to Quality Assurance Risk Manager. In February 2019 Tracey received another promotion to Director of Nursing for Loris Rehab & Nursing Center.

Tracey resides in Myrtle Beach, SC. She is married with two children, a daughter in law, one grandson, and three dog babies. Tracey enjoys going to the beach for a relaxing day and shopping.
