Leadership Profile: Jacqueline “Nicole” Thompson serves, as the Jacqueline Thompson 8968 Final LRDirector of Nursing for Medford Nursing Center. Nicole began her career with Wilson Senior Care at Morrell Nursing Center in September 2008 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In August 2009, Nicole became a Registered Nurse and transferred to The Rehab Center at Morrell. In March 2011, she transferred to Oakhaven Nursing Center as Unit Manager. In April 2012, she was promoted as Oakhaven’s Director of Nursing. In October 2014, she transferred to Medford Nursing Center to serve as their Director of Nursing.

Nicole has devoted her career to long term care. Before nursing school, she worked for Cooke Nursing and Rehab (Florence, SC) as the Social Services Director 2006-2007.

Nicole received an Associate Degree in Business Management from North Eastern Technical College in 2005. Followed by, an Associate Degree in Nursing in 2009.

Nicole is originally from Hartsville but lives in Darlington. She is married to her husband Neel. They have three children Zack, Michaela and River. Outside of work Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and going to the lake.

What she enjoys most about WSC?

“I enjoy being able to help people through what is sometimes the hardest times in their lives when they lose their parents. I believe I help not only the residents, but their family members and a lot of times my own employees through difficult personal situations. I love long-term care and can’t imagine myself in any other field of nursing.” ~Nicole
