WILSON SENIOR CARE UNVEILS COKER COLLEGE STUDENT’S ARTWORK
Hartsville, SC – On Monday, April 20 Wilson Senior Care held a small reception unveiling a piece of artwork designed by, a Coker College student, Bryan Rivers. This inspirational piece of artwork will be displayed at The Rehab Center at Morrell (Hartsville, SC) inside the gymnasium.
Wilson Senior Care (WSC) is a proud supporter of Coker College. This project has been an ideal way to highlight the college while at the same time focusing on the talents of our future leaders. WSC approached Coker about challenging students to design artwork for the center. Professor Ken Maginnis accepted this request and assigned this project to his graphic design class. The direction for the assignment was to be centered on the motto “Strength Comes from Within”. The students worked hard on this assignment and Professor Maginnis narrowed the contest down to 6 finalists. WSC then chose the winning piece of artwork designed by Bryan Rivers, a junior at Coker College.
Kelly Pruitt- Executive Director for Morrell Nursing Center & The Rehab Center at Morrell commented, “We were all drawn to Bryan Rivers’ artwork. It seemed to captivate the energy, momentum and drive that we want our patients to feel when they are working toward their recovery.”
Wilson Senior Care would like to thank Coker College and Professor Maginnis for allowing this project to take place, along with, all of the students that participated and Bryan Rivers for such a beautiful piece of art.
